THE EAST JERUSALEM YMCA

URGENT APPEAL

PALESTINE: OCTOBER 18, 2023

1

Ongoing political tensions and IOF blockades in Palestinian cities affect EJ-YMCA services, leading to suspensions in remote areas.

2

Some staff members are working remotely in the West Bank and Jerusalem to ensure safety.

3

Operations in Jerusalem are completely shut down due to the blockade, Beit Sahour offers reduced hours and services, while Ramallah continues all services until further notice, causing significant losses.

4

The Vocational Training Center in Jericho temporarily closed to students and shifted to online education. The VTC hosts 33 Gazan workers in student dorms facing difficult living conditions due to a lack of basic needs.
